Benefits of Becoming a Member of the NAACP Easton Branch
We stand for civil rights as the oldest, most recognized civil rights organization in the nation.
The branch shows opposition to institutional racism locally and seeks to promote better relations and racial harmony via its partnerships with community officials, leaders, the Easton School District Superintendent, and local nonprofits such as the League of Women Voters, Freedom Memorial LV, Easton Area Neighborhood Centers, AAUW, YMCA, Stories that Shaped a Nation, SURJ, and Lafayette College.
The branch actively supports equitable employment of people of color and public school equitable education.
We support Voter Registration and Gerrymandering Reform.
We hold Candidates' Forums during local elections and take an active role in political activism.
The branch's Annual Freedom Fund Awards Dinner is a successful fundraiser that unites members from throughout the region.
The Easton branch is committed to youth leaderships and awards scholarships on an annual basis to students of color.
